Caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring, nicely put together with good front and rear. Nice masculine head and ample reach of neck, and good layback of shoulder. Good rear angles with nice straight hocks. Really came to life on the move, moving with drive and purpose with level topline and gently swishing tail. Best of Breed and delighted he then went on to take Best in Show.

This 4 year old dog took my eye when stacked & didn’t fail to impress when I went over him. A masculine head with correct planes, not overdone in stop giving a pleasing soft but mischievous expression, long neck into good front angulation, correct forechest with plenty of depth. Excellent spring of rib & enough length in loin. A flowing topline into correct tailset & good turn of stifle completed a very balanced outline overall. Excellent movement from all angles. Very pleased to award him BOB & thrilled to hear he went BIS3. BOB, 3th BIS

I liked her balance but her handler today needed a chance to show her on a looser lead & stand off her then out came her neck & topline!

1st Hastings’s YORKHAM BAD BEAR DAY FOR BARDINGS
This big dog gave me much pause for thought as he is carrying too much weight. Having said that, his well balanced head with the correct frowning expression, strong hindquarters, good bone, deep chest & well placed shoulders added to the Sussex roll, carried him through to BOB & to make the cut in a well filled group. Later I understood from the owner that the weight will go as he is a working gundog & will begin the season soon. BOB
