Alone in the breed classes.  Junior dog.  Could do with a bit more weight.  Well balanced outline. The small ring restricted movement for a large dog so movement a bit erratic . Good head and neck, and reasonable angulation front and rear.  BOB

Puppy (1,0)
1st Taylor and Gill’s UNIQUE DE LA RIVIERE OUREAU AVEC AMFREVILLE BPIB
On entering the ring this pup was happy energetic, absolutely enjoying life, far too busy to take this show stuff seriously, but that makes for a lovely youngster, at 9 months old has all the characteristics for a lovely Brittany, good outline with parallel lines to the skull, good colour to eye with a gentle look, ear set high, neck clean with enough length into a well set shoulder, muscular front with straight forelegs, deep in chest with a nice rounded shape, topline good with a gentle slope to croup, rear developing well and the muscle tone is coming on the thighs, movement was invigorating and short with no deviation from the topline. BPIB.

Post graduate (1,0)
1st Thompson’s RAVENNA NOISETTE AVEC MEADOWLINE
Another youngster at just 12months out to have fun, looks to be having a bit of a growth spurt, with a nice head having good plains showing a lovely dark eye with no harshness in expression, moderate stop, neck clean cut and set well into shoulder, forequarters neat and straight forelegs with good muscle, elbows tucked in to body, thighs broad with good toning, good shape and with the moderate bend in stifle, movement was fun and with a brisk stride giving the handler a good workout.

Open (1,0)
1st Taylor and Gill’s RENNES DE PASMAZGENG BOB
Very good in profile and looking very much to type, nothing course and all moderate, head with good plains and with neat muzzle, eyes with a quizzical expression and of a good colour, high set ears with a correct shape, neck clean cut into a good shoulder set, front muscular and having toned straight forelegs, chest deep, elbows in and level to brisket, feet firm and round, toned muscular thighs with a nice shape, neat bend in stifle and vertical in pastern, gait is swift and short maintaining the topline with no over extension. Puppy (2,1)
1st Niemczuk’s PENROSE UNION GOLD BPIB

11 month old bitch who needs more confidence.      She does not possess the complete scissor bite at this stage in her life but as the standard say this is tolerated.   She is well made throughout with no exaggerations.    Alert expression.   Needs more time to settle on the move but I could see she is true in both directions.

Very stylish on the move.   Typical head with intelligent expression.   Good straight front with tight fitting elbows.   Correct hare feet.   Well developed and muscled hindquarters with strong hocks .
2nd Morris’s PENROSE I DREAM A DREAM

6 year old bitch who won over 3 on her positive movement.   She stands four square.   Short in couplings.   Good straight front and strong bone.   Well muscled hindquarters.   Covered the ground well with good forward reach.
3rd Watts’s OAKLEAF MANOR BAY AT OAKMARSH

1st Morris’s LONGMEADOW BARNEGAT BAY’S SURFER AT PENROSE

He is all dogs who has good height to length dimensions and is balanced in every way. Pleasing head with intelligent expression.   Strong bone with good feet.   Good forehand construction with short back. Strong over the loin.   Well angulated hindquarters.   Moved well in both directions.
2nd Coppin and Davies’s PIXIESROCK QUEEN OF HEARTS AT ELWISTONE

Mature bitch but is too heavy for my liking.   Deep mature body. Pleasing head with well set eyes and giving that intelligent expression.   Strong topline.   Moved soundly in both directions with good drive from the rear.
3rd Watts’s OAKMARSH FREEDOM SGWC

Open (9,7)
1st Morris’s BAYMOSS TWEED OF PENROSE BOB

Two year old bitch who possesses many breed type qualities.   Loved her head which was not overdone.   Strong neck flowing into withers.   Good layback of shoulder and return of upper arm. 2nd Coppin and Davies’s DALLANDOR JOCASTA

Cocker Spaniel
Judge: Jenny Mason (Sandlauga)

Puppy (6,1)
1st GLENBROWS BLUE SHERBERT BPIB
This 8 month old light blue roan boy was just my type, stood square on profile & was immaculately presented. On the move he held his level topline and moved with reach and drive. Loved his merry cocker attitude which showed in his ever wagging tail. Look forward to seeing how his career progresses BP
2nd CHATAWAY NEW BEGINNING
8 month old black bitch. This young lady was unfortunate to meet my 1st place boy today, and, given a little bit more steady handling (well, she is a happy girl!) and slight less weight would swop places in future. Still, given that, I found lots to like, she has the sweetest of heads, good reach of neck, well sprung ribs for one so young and good angulation front and back. Another one to watch.
3rd KERRIGLOW BLACK DOVE
4th ROCKLLOCERS CONDOR

Junior (7,0)
1st PENDLEDELL MIA TESORINO
14 month old black bitch. Teamed up with her sister who was in the graduate class. Lots to like about this young lady. In profile stood square with a stunning shining coat. On going over her she has the most sweetest of head and expression, plenty of forchest and tight feet, held her topline on the move and moved out with purpose front and back, tail wagging.
2nd FOREVER RIZI BIZI TAMARA
9 month old Liver Roan bitch. Another lovely young girl from the same kennel as my BP. Again, immaculately presented, moved well, although not as steady and confidently as her kennel mate which may well as cost her her place to him as my best puppy.
3rd Bayliss’s BLACK DELJA’S SHAMAN KING
4th ROCKLLOCHERS ATROPOS

Graduate (11,4)
1st PENDLEDELL TI AMO
14 month old black bitch, litter sister to my junior class winner and most of my comments apply to both. I am sure any judge judging both would also be splitting hairs which is so good that they were placed in different classes! Loved their positive movement and typical merry bustling cocker movement.
2nd Beever’s DANDYJAN DARK DEFENDER
I was so cross and frustrated with this nearly 2 year old blue roan boy. When you see a boy who is just your type it is frustrating when he lets his movement let him down. He is a lovely upstanding masculine boy with typical male, but not overdone head lovely square outline and level topline.
3rd OKTUMI STAR CHASER
4th Pendlebury’s COOLEELA BLACK BEAUTY AT SANDABY’S

Post Graduate (9,3)
1st Beever’s DANDYJAN TINY DANCER
Nearly 3 year old blue roan bitch. This beautifully presented blue roan bitch caught me eye straight away. She has such ring presence and I did wonder who was handling who as I was convinced that she would just go around the ring on her own! Lovely and square on profile, sweetest of heads, straight front and tight feet, well presented, moved around the ring with purpose and ease. Close up for my top honours.
2nd Morris’s JOALDY MR HAPPY AT AMARANTH
I have judged this nearly 4 year old black boy before and swear again that you can see your face in that gleaming coat, he is absolutely presented to perfection. Love his masculine head and melting cocker expression. Plenty of fore chest and well sprung ribs, lovely topline which he holds well on the move, would just like him a little shorter in loin, but just my preference.
3rd KIMAPA KWARTA KORKI
4th Prydderch’s ROCKLLOCERS BLISSFUL BLUSH

Open (6,1)
1st QUETTADENE QUEEN OF STARS JW BOB
This 3 year old black bitch is another one that I have admired from the ringside and was not disappointed when give the opportunity to “go over” her. In profile, stands square and cabby with a gleaming coat. She had the sweetest of heads, straight front and ample fore chest, good reach to neck and well sprung rib. You always hope that a level topline in profile will be held on the move and this one didn’t disappoint. Pleased to award her BOB
2nd DANDYJAN PARTIGIFT
5 year old blue roan bitch. This bitch is shown in good solid condition, she is another who stands square in profile and moved with purpose and drive, front and back.

1st Blythin’s ANGELUSPARKS V PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT JULESVILLE BPIB
A 10 month black male giving his handler the run around today, but she did well to handle him.  Would have preferred tighter eyelids and less breadth of skull.  He has a lovely coat with excellent top-line and correct tail-set.  His hocks are well let down but his feet are not as thick and strong as I would have liked.  He moved well.  Best Puppy.

Junior (9,4)
1st Hewison’s BENELLYN MARAKELE INTO CASBLAIDD
This 13 month black female is so feminine and classic.  Lovely dark eyes with a super front, lovely reach of neck, good bone and well-arched feet with thick soles.  She is very well muscled, has a lovely top-line and super tail-set.  She moved well.
2nd Pendleton’s BENVELLYN BLACK CANYON AT GOLDINGDALE
Very similar to 1 and not unsurprisingly as they are litter sisters.  Lovely dark eye but I found her rather lacking in depth and breadth of muzzle.  Super top-line and tail-set, with well let-down hocks, lovely glossy coat.  However, her sister moved better today.

Very close with 1st, lot to like from this dog too, great on the stack giving a lovely outline, head correct and with a nice eye, good length to ears set low, neck strong and long, front good with well boned forelegs, depth to chest good and with a correct shape, rear strong with well bent stifle, coat dense and with a good covering also a nice natural oily feel, took a while him to settle on the move just wasn’t quit with it which was a shame, would have been a strong contender for the win.

LABRADOR BOB – STAND BY ME OF MISTY DREAMS

Puppy (5,3)
1st Terry and Downes’s ELLUKINE CREME DE LA CREME BPIB
Nicely maturing dark yellow bitch of 11 months. At this stage her head still retains some of her puppy looks, which is as it should be, in a slowly maturing breed. She is developing a nice width of skull, well defined stop, correct eye shape and colour, good length of muzzle and neat ears. Good reach and slope of neck, leading to well made shoulder with correct angles, deep through the chest. Good bone and neat feet, she carries a level topline both standing and on the move. Adult coat coming through, moved well. BP.
2nd Potter’s HELIAN BLUE HORIZON
8 month yellow bitch still holding onto a lot of her puppy qualities. Sweet femine puppy head which should develop well as she matures, as everything is nicely in proportion for her age. Pleasing shape and colour of eye. In outline she is very nicely balanced with a good reach of neck, nice round bone and neat feet, good barrel ribs and short coupled. Muscle tone needs time to develop. Moved OK when she stopped wriggling.

Junior (6,2)
1st Gower’s DENIANGILL SCARLET RIBBONS AT AUGHTONCHASE
A well presented dark yellow bitch, who I have seen competing at quite a few shows and overall, she is maturing well. Her head is coming on nicely, with neat ears held close to her head, a good length and width to her muzzle balances her profile picture when stood. Carrying the correct amount of weight, her neck and shoulders sweep down to a good level topline, strong over loin, nice tail set and good bend of stifle. A little longer cast in body, but a sound mover around the ring.
2nd Potter’s HARROP STAR GAZER
Almost 10 months, this sweet black bitch was really enjoying her day out. Still very much a puppy, she ideally needs to grow on a little to really benefit from her undoubted good breeding. When stood, she’s beautifully balanced. A sweet head, good ear set, nice length of neck, lovely bone all round and to finish the picture, a cracking Otter tail. moved really well. Was hoping to see her in for Best Puppy, but her owners went home early.
3rd Markham’s STMAKAJO CHENGELO CORDOVA
4th MOYTURA’S MASTER OF MISCHIEF

Graduate (9,2)
1st Ennis-Holden and Lammens’s THE BEAT GOES ON OF MISTY DREAMS
19 month old black bitch, who I haven’t seen before. Well presented in good coat, she is nicely made throughout, but I would have just preferred a little extra length of leg to help with overall balance. A sweet head with the most gentle expression, she has a good reach of neck, strong and powerful leading to well placed shoulders, good front bone and lovely tight feet. Deep through chest and brisket, well sprung barrel ribs, good bend of stifle. Good tailset, moved with drive.
2nd Potter’s SHAROUNS INSPECTOR MORSE AT HELIAN
18 months yellow dog, strongly built, masculine head, powerful neck and shoulders, level topline held well on the move. He has good angles front and rear with a good spring of rib. He has a good tailset and neat feet. Needs to move better with his handler.
3rd Jones’s LEMBAS TIANA AT SERENJAR
4th Potter’s HARROP PICK POCKET

Post Graduate (5,1)
1st Smith’s MEADOWLINE HEARTBREAKER JW
A classy black dog I have judged before. Coming up to almost 2 years old, he is maturing well and I’m pleased to see that he seems to be fulfilling his early promise. Presented in fit hard condition, his head has a masculine balanced to it, without being overdone. Attentive to his handler at all times, he uses his ears well, which makes a huge difference when assessing head type. Strong through his neck and shoulders, his front angles are correct, enabling him to reach out when moving. A good deep chest and barrel rib, he is short coupled, with good second thigh and true Otter tail. Moved with drive. Considered in challenge.
2nd Jones’s WILLOWRUSH KERSEY DUSK AT SERENJAR
A nice mature yellow bitch with a sweet femine head and a true gentle expression. Correct eye colour and shape, neat ears, she is good over her shoulders, with plenty of brisket and depth of chest, well-muscled rear end. Her tail appears a little thin, lacking in coat. Moved OK.
3rd Young’s DIVINE LADY HAPPY KISS
4th Merrison’s OAKENHOLT ALTAN

Open Dog (5,1)
1st Hughes’s CINDERS SALTY SEA
2½ year old black dog who I have admired from the ringside and he didn’t disappoint when he entered the ring. He has a true old-fashioned black lab head which is balanced throughout, from the top of his Occiput to the tip of his nose. A gentle expression, nice dark eye, neat ears, good width and strength of muzzle, he flows from his strong neck down to a lovely level topline, held well on the move and when standing. Good bone and a well-made shoulder with correct angles all round, meant that he never put a foot wrong. Couple this with tight feet, a correct double coat and Otter tail, in the end, these last three points won him this class. Considered him for BOB.
2nd Ennis-Holden DEVONSHIRES YELLOWSTONE AT MARIANK
Another quality yellow dog who is so well made throughout. He has a masculine head, with any coarseness, but he’s all male. Good ear placement, which he uses well. A powerful neckline leads to good shoulder placement, good length of leg to body ratio, deep chest, he has strength over his loin, good bend of stifle and well let down hocks. His good angles give him reach and drive when on the move and he had possibly the best Otter tail of the day.
3rd Crellin’s AALINCARREY LETS SING
4th Merrison’s OAKENHOLT ALTAN

Open Bitch (7,3)
1st Ennis-Holden and Lammens’s STAND BY ME OF MISTY DREAMS BOB
This 2½ year old smart yellow bitch, just oozes quality as soon as she enters the ring. Balanced and in tip-top condition, she presents a picture from any angle. Her head is mature, yet pretty and femine, neat ears, correct eye shape and colour, you are drawn back to her time and again. Her neck is clean, powerful and of a good length, your hands just flow over her withers, down her shoulders, along her well sprung barrel ribs, to a nice short coupled loin, finished with a lovely Otter tail. Powerful well-muscled rear legs with low hocks, enable her to move with ease, BOB.
2nd Thompson’s MEADOWLINE MOGUL
Sweet 3yr old yellow bitch, I’ve judged before. Pretty head, strong through neck and shoulder, nice level topline held well on the move. She has good bone, a good bend of stifle and again neat feet. A good Otter tail finished the picture. Moved well.

1st Hatton’s EKKOLANDER REISLING AT DOUBILLY BOB
Flashy, white and black bitch, rising 3 years old. Personality and ring presence in abundance! Very good front and rear angulation, extremely well muscled and toned which allowed her effortless power and drive around the ring. Solid top line. Gave her young handler a hard job to show her standing and stationary today but absolutely no problem on the move which is where she really shone. She would benefit from a little more weight.

Open (1,0)
1st Jenks’s ALBADHU HIDDEN POTENTIAL
A larger framed, more mature dog. Nice head and expression. Good overall balance and strong, gently sloping top line that he held well on the move. He also was very well muscled and shown in hard condition – this was reflected in his super profile movement, however he was a little close behind when moving away today just affecting his drive from behind. I would ideally prefer a little more bend of stifle

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers:

Puppy (3,1)
1st Golding’s WHENOVA PAMPERO BPIB

Litter sister to the male who was second behind her.   Preferred the eye and expression over 2 and she also had a better front.   Sweet, feminine head with typical expression.   Good straight front with tight fitting elbows. Her movement was a treat to watch considering her age .
2nd Heaton’s WHENOVA CHINNOCK

Good length of leg.   Not quite balanced due to being a bit bum high.   Good bone and feet.  Careless with his front when standing.   Good width of thigh and bend of stifle.   I found his head a little plain.   Moved soundly in both directions

Junior (1,0)

2nd Warren’s AFONBACH DREAMFYRE AT SHORROCKS JW

Finer and smaller than 1.    She excelled on the move with good drive from the rear.   Pleasing head with intelligent expression.   Good overall breed type but would like to see more bone and substance .

Open (3,1)

I liked her overall breed type.   She excelled on the move with jaunty action.   Good head and tail carriage.   Liked her height to length dimensions.   Attractive, feminine head with kind expression and correct ear set. Well developed hind quarters with strong hocks.    Presented in lovely condition with healthy, gleaming coat.   BOB.
2nd Adshead’s AFONBACH WINTER IS COMING
